Compared to the disappointing Balac, the Hawk Moth is pretty great. The entire body is a single piece, it's surprisingly much larger than other VTOLs (about double the size of the warrior and balac), and it has a guide hole for the flight stem. I still used a drill bit to widen that hole to make the stem fit better, but at least it's there.
The VTOLs including the Hawk Moth come with a stem and a flight base hex for it to fit into, but this model is too heavy for it to stay upright on just that small base. The base fits into the larger hollow-top IWM hex base and I think the extra base is mandatory for this model.
